Rubber Bump Stops

These rubber bump stops are exactly what I needed for my modified Tamiya Clod Buster. It has an old ESP Clodzilla IV chassis with a four link, cantilever suspension system. I am using four Team Losi XXT rear shocks. For the longest time the front and rear steering servos, which on the ESP Clodzilla IV chassis are mounted on top of the front and rear gearcases, would hit on the underside of the chassis' frame rails at full suspension compression. The only way to prevent that from happening was by limiting the amount of suspension travel. For years I just stacked up some old Team Losi O-ring shock seals on each shock shaft to help prevent the servos from hitting but the O-rings were way too soft. They were better than nothing but they were not a perfect solution due to how soft they were. I found out about these J Concepts rubber bump stops from another Clod Buster owner and gave them a try recently. They worked perfectly! They were the right length for my truck's shocks right out of the bag but they can easily be cut to a shorter length with a hobby knife if they are too long. They are hard enough to stop my truck's suspension and prevent the servos from slamming into the chassis rails and causing damage but they are also much softer than when the shock shafts bottom out inside the shock bodies at full suspension compression. They are absolutely perfect and I just wish that they were available back when I first started modifying my Clod Buster back in the day.
