The latest design from the JConcepts laboratory brings you the Boss tire with the unique tread concept and competition-focused performance to the 2.2" competition rock crawling market. Designed around a 1.5" wide carcass with a 5.75" overall diameter, the Boss is purpose-built for 2.2" competition rock crawler wheels and delivers the flexibility, traction, and stability needed to attack challenging terrain.
The Boss features an original tread layout built around a base pattern with an overlaying bar tread. This combination allows the tread to flex and conform to uneven terrain while maintaining the stability needed when the tire is loaded from the side. JConcepts incorporates H and + style tread elements to combine substantial tread coverage with a flexible, responsive footprint.
The continuous carcass design features minimal lettering and logo height, creating a clean competition-ready profile. The tread blocks incorporate radiused edges, creating an arched profile across the tire while forming a bridge-like structure in the horizontal direction. This geometry helps generate forward bite and controlled tread flex while maintaining lateral stability across the contact patch.
The tread edges are intentionally held back from the sidewall to minimize overhang, creating a tire that is well suited for sliding and grinding across obstacles. Exposed sidewall rubber provides additional usable contact in dry conditions, allowing the green compound to work directly against the terrain without unnecessary tread interference.
Embossed JConcepts logos, product name, part number, and sizing information are integrated into the tire for easy identification while maintaining the clean appearance of the carcass. The Boss is supplied with React open cell inserts, providing a medium feel and properly supporting the tire carcass for a balanced combination of flex and stability.
The JConcepts team continuously builds, tests, competes, and travels to challenging crawling locations, gathering valuable driver feedback that helps develop products focused on real-world competition performance.
Designed and developed in the U.S.A., the Boss tire is backed by JConcepts customer service and the experience of a team dedicated to performance, function, and style. Look for reputable JConcepts dealers and distributors, demand authentic products, and choose JConcepts.
