2021 has been off to an incredible start for Ryan Maifield who has won every single Nitro Buggy event he’s attended! He kicked off the year with a win at SIC, then DNC, and now Silver State! To say he’s had success with the Mugen MBX8 is an understatement. After starting 7th on the grid in the Pro Nitro Buggy Main, Maifield fought his way to the top and came out a champion. Early on he was able to get himself up in the top battle where he would battle it out with teammates VanDalen and Rivkin as well as Jared Tebo. That being said we’re taking you under the hood of his winning Nitro Buggy.

Product Spotlight
Setting up your vehicle’s components correctly is critical when it comes to dialing in your setup. Sure, you can always "eyeball" it, but with today's cars if you are off by a few millimeters it could hurt your lap times on a race day. But drivers want a tool that is reliable, easy to use, and...

Ryan Maifield left it all out on the track at the 2021 Dirt Nitro Challenge. A race that will humble anyone in a minute, but may also present some of the greatest victories. We saw Maifield put his head down and do some serious work with his JConcepts equipped Mugen vehicles! Both nitro mains were 45 minutes, a marathon to say the least, and the E-Buggy main was 10 minutes. It was crucial to have durable, predictable, and solid equipment. That being said, we wanted to take you under the hood of Ryan Maifield’s winning vehicles...

In the early days of racing, the Stadium Truck class was better known as the Monster Truck class. This class grew more in popularity each year as racers were eager to compete with a different type of vehicle. By the winter of 1990 all of the major off-road manufacturers had released their own truck to compete in this class except for one. For many years Team Associated was known for their championship winning on road cars and off-road buggy, the iconic RC10, but until this point they still hadn’t released a truck.

What do you do when you’ve taken your Traxxas Slash on the trails, through the mud, several races and through a post-apocalyptic world? Well, you go fishing! In this build I’ll show you how I turned my Traxxas Slash 4x4 into a laid back, lazy-days surf truck.

For this project my goal was to take my Traxxas Slash 4x4 and give it a complete apocalyptic overhaul. I wanted this truck to look like it just drove off the screen of a Mad Max movie. This is not a quick transformation, but with a little patience you can make your own JConcepts wasteland machine.
